A Dream to the United States

There is a place — I call it a dream place — where people from nearly every continent aspire to be. Though many migrants originate from Africa, it is not uncommon to find others from developing countries, including some from Western nations, also migrating to this place for reasons best known to them.

Where might I be referring to in this context?

No doubt, aspirations differ among individuals. While some may aspire to visit a place in Europe, there are others who long to visit a place in Africa. The dream place I speak of is none other than the United States of America.

Those who find it difficult to migrate directly to the U.S. consider other countries within the Americas, with future plans of entering the United States. However, some travelers have clear intentions to settle in South America or other places in North America.

What could be the recurring aspirations of migrants to the United States of America?
